Students at Abby Kelley Foster Charter School can take part in Girls Inc. of Worcester's Friendly PEERsuasion Program at school. 50 girls learn about violence prevention strategies and substance abuse prevention.
Girls build skills for resisting pressure to use harmful substances such as alcohol, tobacco, household chemicals and other drugs. The two-part substance abuse prevention program teaches girls ages 11 - 14 healthy ways to manage stress and confront peer, media and other pressures. The girls then assume roles as PEERsuaders for younger girls.
Participants are also welcome to attend Vacation Camp!
Thank you to the United Way of Central Massachusetts for their support of our Abby Kelley Foster Charter School programming.
